After breakfast, visit Golden Temple, a Sikh shrine. Leave for Dharamshala by surface (04 hours drive). Reach Dharamshala and transfer to hotel: Overnight at Hotel Chonor House or similar.

The Golden temple is a place of both stupendous beauty and sublime peacefulness. Originally, a small lake in the midst of a quiet forest, the site has been a meditation retreat for wandering mendicants and sages since deep antiquity.

The Buddha is known to have spent time here also, contemplating and meditating on life's deepest truths. Two thousand years after Buddha, another mysticsaint came to live and meditate by the peaceful lake. This sage was Guru Nanak (14691539), thefounder of the Sikh religion.
